Our chosen country for this month's brunches and dinner is Sweden.
Reservations are required for the dinner as seating is limited. The menu is fixed and as usual will involve a series of appetizers and small plates featuring vegetable, fish and meat dishes. We will try to accomodate eating restrictions if advance notice is received but for some plates this might not be possible. The price is $35 per person and we are BYOB.
The Chalk Outlines return to Orbis Caffe on Black Friday. If the show is as good as the last time it will be a blast. We be serving up some Black Friday small plates and of course its BYOB. Seating is limited so if you want to secure a spot, cough up the $5 cover ahead of time and get on the list.
Follow those cool but crazy cats @TCOutlines.
Orbis Caffe is hosting Jazz for Tapagem! The event is for University of Pittsburgh's chapter of Engineers without Borders' international project - bringing clean water to a group of villages in the Tapagem, Para, region in Brazil. Live music by a Jazz combo, featuring Jake Churton and Alex Kaufman. There will be a complimentary cocktail and a dinner menu available. BYOB.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at Orbis Caffe or by emailing email@example.com.
Regular Sunday brunch from 10.00am to 1.00pm. Featuring regional dishes and eggy brunch classics.
We are staying in South America for September's brunches and dinner but moving over to the West Coast to Chile. Although they are of course known for their wine, Chilean cuisine is rather less known. It is highly likely that there will be Cerviche on the menu as well as other fish, such as sea bass or salmon caught in the rich, cold waters off the coast.
We have been enjoying the bounty of our local produce all summer long so instead of choosing a single country theme for our monthly dinner, we decided to continue to celebrate our local produce but wth flavors from a diverse set of regions and countries. As we will be guide by what is availble, we are looking for dinner guests to trust us with preparation of an interesting meal from "Around the World". As usual we anticipate a multiple course menu including a complementary cocktail. Cost is $35.00. BYOB - No Corkage.
Ben Sweet from Southside American will be playing live at the Mt Lebanon venue. Some of the songs he will be performing come from his soon to be release EP In Our Keystone State. His sound is a mix of Indie Folk, Indie Rock and Americana. Ben is a new / old local from Mt. Lebanon having relocated back after some years "living out west". He has been playing a number of shows around Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania and has an upcoming gig at Club Cafe.
Robert Morris of Backseat Romance will be opening act.
